Do I need to live in central Marseille?
No. Aparté looks at the area where you live, not your postcode. Whether you live in Endoume, La Joliette, the northern districts or a neighbouring town, the app looks for compatible people within a reasonable distance and chooses a venue that is easy to reach for both of you.
Can we chat before the date?
No, and that is deliberate. Before the meeting, you only answer five questions picked from a set bank, to get to know each other without exchanging contact details. After the date, each of you says privately whether you would like to see the other again. The chat opens only if you both say yes.
How are profiles verified?
Every profile is checked by our team, who compare a selfie with the profile photos before approving the sign-up. That way, you know the person waiting for you at the Vieux-Port or in Le Panier really looks like the one the app introduced. The selfie is deleted as soon as the decision is made.
